Brook Bonesmoke Is From Noble Family
We know Oda loves to make crazy surprises, plot twist and foreshadows that’s why I came up with the out of the box idea that Brook last name might be“BONESMOKE.”
When Brook first appeared in Florian triangle where he met the straw hats, he was only a BONE and the surroundings was cover with fogsthat look like a SMOKE and he kinda have some mysterious past and connection with the VINESMOKES because Brook’s YomiYomi no Mi means “Underworld” and the Vinsmokes who give chills to his spine is connected to the “Underworld” plus he has many similarities with SanjiVinsmokethat’s why after I added those connections I came up with the crazy idea that his last name might be “BONESMOKE.”
Aside from crazy surprises, plot twist and foreshadows, we also know that Oda loves to use references from the characters from the books and movies, popular people, myths and stories and places in our world.
Brook’s past ,childhood days and family might be inspired to old days in Austria and western countries in old days.
Here’s the view points why I think Brook is came from noble family.
1. Music Was Expensive In Old Days
According to Oda if Brook lives in our world his country will be Austria the land of great classical musicians like Haydn, Schubert, Strauss II, Beethoven and Mozart.
In the golden age of classical music in Austria or if you prefer “classical period” in 1750-1821, listening and playing different kind of musical instrument were the hobbies of rich and noble people and to learn on how to play different kind of musical instruments like violin and piano you must spend a lot of money because you need to buy the musical instrument that you want to master and hired a musical instructor or attend a musical class.
Since Brook is 90 years old now maybe he experienced before the golden age of music in the kingdom that he served as a battle convoy leaderorwith his nakamas in Rumbar pirates who loved music.
We don’t see any pirate crew now, who deeply love and have a high passion in music like Brook and Rumbar pirates 50 years ago, so in my opinion we can consider the time of Brook with the Rumbar pirates as the Golden Age of music in OP world because we never see such crew or group who deeply love music before and after their time.
Brook learned to play all kinds of musical instruments so if he live in Austria in old days and learned different instruments he must spend a lot of money. Brook’s family has needed to be rich for him to be able to learn and mastered all kinds of musical instruments in old days.
Brook is the only confirmed member of Rumbar pirates who can play any musical instruments. Since he can play any instruments, we could say that he’s the most skilled and passionate musician in Calico Yorki crew.

2. Brook Sword Style
Brook sword style is FENCING, fencing is a sport and hobby of noble and rich people in old days, to learn fencing you also need to spend a lot of money and in Rumbar crew he’s the only confirmed member who has that skill as a fencer.
Brook’s nakama in Rumbar pirates asked him to teach him Fencing.
3. Brook’s Sword Attacks Name
Brook’s attacks are mostly named in French language and the rest are in Japanese and it is similar to the NobleSanji who also has attacks named in French and Japanese.
French theme like Sanji maybe representing the nobility in One Piece and since Brook also have French theme, the possibility of him being from rich or noble family is very plausible.
4. Brook’s Elegant Clothes
Sanji and Sabo as a noble are wearing clothes that look too expensive and Brook clothes have similarity with their expensive clothes.
5. Brook Epithets
Brook has epithets that connected to royalty and nobility, He is called Soul Kingbecause of his talent in music and he is also called Bone Baron Brook. Baron is title in French nobility and other western country.
Since Baron Brook Bonesmoke was a member and leader of battle convoy, his family might be from the "Noblesse Militiare"(Military Nobility) A family made noble by holding military offices.
6. Brook Led An Escort Convoy
In old days the higher ranking officials in military in many countries were came from the rich and noble families and they trained their sons since on childhood days to become a great warrior that capable to protect and fight for their king and country.
Maybe Brook father was a higher ranking official and member of Military Nobility (Noblesse Militiare) that’s why he trained Brook on his childhood days to become a strong warrior that capable of protecting his king and country.
7. Brook’s Connection with the Noble Vinsmoke Family Especially to Sanji
· Attack names;Sanji and Brook attacks are both named in French and Japanese.
· Pervert;Sanji and Brook both gentlemen but when it comes to girls their manners suddenly change and became pervert.
· Clothing;Both of these guys wearing a kinda expensive looking black suits with similarities to each other.
· Underworld;Brook DF Yomi Yomi no Mi means from the Underworld, Vinsmoke family has a big role in Underworld in One Piece.
· Darkness; Brook story when he first appeared after his death is cover with darkness in Thriller Bark arc and his DF also involve in darkness, Vinsmoke family is involve in North Blue darkness.
· Liquor:Sanji’s surname is Vinsmoke, Vin in French is Wine and Brook former pirate crew was Rumbar, Rum is a kind of liquor and bar is a place that you can buy different kinds of wine and liquor.
· Brook first bounty and Sanji identity; Brook first bounty was 33 million Berry when he met straw hat pirates and joined them, you know what is 33? 33 is Sanji’s identity, San in Japanese is number 3 and Sanji is the 3rd son of Vinsmoke. Sanji has 33 in his identity and if we add his identity to the first two numbers of Brook’s previous bounty it will be equal to the Vinsmoke mythical army Germa 66.33 + 33 = 66. It seems Brook really is connected to Sanji and has a mysterious past with Germa 66 and Vinsmoke.
SUMMARY
To learn all kinds of musical instruments in old days plus the mastery of Brook in the hobby of rich and noble people which is fencing that lead him to become the leader of battle convoy in a certain kingdom, his parents probably spent a lot of money for him since he was a kid so that he can learned and mastered so many musical instruments and his skills in fencing.
Because of Brook’s knowledge and skills in playing different musical instruments that he learned in old days and his skills in fencing which is a hobby of rich and noble people plus his expensive clothes, French theme and gentleman manner which always ended up in a pervert attitude like Sanji I believe it’s very possible that he’s from the noble or maybe royal family.
